Hello! I'm an illustrator artist and muralist. I make colourful, nature-inspired designs from my studio in The Archives Tottenham, London.
I create colourful, inclusive images for all.
The core values of my work are vibrancy, integrity and connection. I make uplifting art for everyday settings and I am passionate about making public art because of the power it has to improve our sense of well-being and our connection to our environment and communities.
My work is vibrant, inclusive and often includes plants and people with a touch of the fantastical. Living in a highly diverse neighbourhood and having a passion for nature and environmental issues, my work often reflects one or both of these themes. I generate ideas from observational drawing, playing with shape and colour and giving careful consideration to the stories or ideas being communicated.
I am also highly experienced in arts education and I bring this knowledge to community engagement workshops where and when appropriate. My current teaching practice is as module leader for Contextulatising Contemporary Practice on the BA in Illustration at the University of Hertfordshire where explore the themes of the climate crisis, decolonisation of the arts and technology in relation to contemporary illustration.
My debut author/illustrator picture book - King Leonard's Teddy is available in 5 languages, was shortlisted for the Little Rebels Award 2020, the Cogan Biodiversity Award 2020 and the Teach Early Years Awards 2019. It was also included in the United Nations' sustainable development goals book list.
My iconic and inclusive London scenes have been shortlisted for the Association of Illustrators World Illustration Awards and Prize for Illustration.
With Arts Council funding, I've helped local organisations tell the stories of their products, services and causes using animated illustration.

Testimonials
We had the pleasure of working with Phoebe to develop a series of murals for the new Lower Ground Floor of Wood Green Community Diagnostic Centre. Alongside the Project Team, we were determined to collaborate with a local artist to 'bring the outside in' to create a calming environment for patients, staff and visitors of the centre. Phoebe was a delight to collaborate with at every stage of the process (shortlisting, initial designs, incorporating feedback) and always kept our aim with the artwork in mind.Phoebe fulfilled the brief and beyond by creating mesmerising landscapes with her distinctive artistic style. In the few weeks since the installation, patients, staff and visitors have praised Phoebe's work and we are delighted that her creation will continue to uplift those who enter the space. If you have the opportunity to work with Phoebe, you can expect a collaborative approach and a wonderful outcome!

What a wonderful experience working with Phoebe. She was in tune with the vision for the project straight away and brought so many magical ideas to enhance the clinical environment. Great to work with someone who is so collaborative and willing to adapt. Thank you for your truly beautiful artwork!

Phoebe created beautiful woodland inspired murals for our preschool’s new outdoor play space. She totally nailed the brief that she was given and was an absolute pleasure to work with.

The finished murals really help to pull the whole project together and now the children have a wonderful, magical space to explore and play in.

The children love to chat to all the bunnies and the birds on the walls so job done as far as I’m concerned! Thanks Phoebe!

Can't recommend Phoebe highly enough. A very talented artist and a total professional. Phoebe has painted our windows at The Trampery (639 High Rd) in Tottenham for the last 2 years and has done an amazing job on both occasions. Thank you Phoebe!
